For new patients of the clinic who do not have a dermatologist, Dr. Rohani will offer to perform a full examination to inspect the entire surface of your skin from the head to the toes for any suspected lesions that may be pre-cancerous or cancerous lesions. Dr. Rohani will also discuss with you various preventative options to minimize your risk of developing new skin cancers in addition to offering treatments for any existing lesions.

Mohs Surgery, a microscopically-guided procedure performed to remove cancerous tissue from cosmetically sensitive areas of the head and neck, is offered along with same-day cosmetic repair by Dr. Rohani. Doing so eliminates the need for the patient to have to travel to multiple locations in order to seek treatment by multiple doctors. Cure rates exceed 99% as Dr. Rohani reviews the pathology at our in-house laboratory and ensures clear surgical margins prior to performing an elegant cosmetic reconstruction with focus on minimizing visible surgical scarring. You can relax in our beautiful exam rooms while your lab results become available. Due to the importance of complete skin cancer removal and cosmetic restoration, this type of procedure should be only performed by a fellowship-trained and board-certified Mohs and Reconstructive Surgeon. Dr. Rohani has reconstructed thousands of defects on the nose, ears, cheeks, necks, and other body parts and will discuss the best cosmetic options with you with the goal of delivering a hidden surgical scar when possible.

Skin Cancer & Reconstruction
Skin cancer doesn’t need to be scary. In some cases, advanced surgical techniques offer up to 99% cure rate. Importantly, it’s best to remove skin cancers as early as possible. So how does the process work? Once diagnosed by your dermatologist, you will be referred to Dr. Rohani, a board-certified and fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeon. Dr. Rohani will remove the cancerous lesion with the aid of advanced microscopically-driven surgery to provide excellent cure rates and minimize the risk of recurrence or distant spread. Once removed, Dr. Rohani will skillfully reconstruct the area with particular attention to cosmetic techniques to create the most aesthetically pleasing outcome. Dr. Rohani in particular focuses on the reconstruction of cosmetically sensitive areas on the face including the nose, eyes and lips. In addition to his own patients, he is often sent patients who had a history of surgery with undesirable outcomes seeking to revise scars. Given his advanced knowledge of cosmetic reconstructive techniques, he’s often able to offer revision in order to restore the patient’s baseline beautiful appearance.
